Educational Qualifications
Flying
Candidates should have completed graduation with 60% aggregate in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics in 12th or BE/B Tech degree (four years course) from a recognized university.
Ground Duty (Technical Period)
Candidates should have completed four years graduation course in Engineering/Technology. Must secure 60% marks in Section A & B Examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute of Engineers (India).
Ground Duty (Non Technical Period)
Candidates should have completed graduation with 60% marks in any discipline and Division A & B examination of Aeronautical Society India or Associate Membership of Institute of Engineers (India).
Age Limit
Age limit for Flying Batch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branch is given below. Candidates applying for the post can check the below age qualification before applying. Different age limits are given for these posts.
- Flying Batch: Candidates should be minimum 20 years maximum 24 years as on 01/07/2024.
- Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): Should be minimum 20 years maximum 26 years as on 01/07/2024.

Candidates registering for AFCAT entry have to pay the application fee given below. Candidates registering for NCC Special Entry need not pay application fee.
IAF AFCAT Entry Fee Rs 250/-
There is no NCC entry fee.

Salary Pay
As per rules, a stipend of Rs.56,100/- per month will be given to flight cadets during one year of training. Allowances are applicable as per IAF rules.
