The state government has imposed night curfew in 9 more cities of Gujarat as part of Gujarat's rescue measures in the wake of the Koro epidemic. So far, night curfew has been imposed in 20 cities, including Himmatnagar, Palanpur, Navsari, Valsad, Porbandar, Botad, Viramgam, Chhotaudepur and Veraval-Somnath. Thus, the curfew will now be in force in a total of 29 cities of Gujarat from 8 pm to 6 am till May 5. In addition, the state government has decided to put additional restrictions in these 29 cities. Thus, the government's 'mini lockdown' has been implemented in the cities of Gujarat and the spontaneous lockdown of the people in the villages.

Following the Centre's guidelines, the Rupani Cabinet re-imposed the one-year-old rules. The meeting then took important decisions, including imposing night curfews in 29 cities to curb Corona. In addition, units including mall-multiplexes where crowds gather will be closed. At the same time, the list of banned units in Gujarat has become a big mess again, which is exactly the same as it was implemented a year ago, i.e. in May 2020. Thus, Gujarat has returned to where it was exactly a year ago in the fight against the Koro epidemic.
