Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) is an educational organization of the Gujarat government. GSEB is responsible for determining the administrative, cognitive, and intellectual direction of the state educational system. The primary objective of GSEB is to prepare the syllabus and to conduct the exams for both private and government schools in the state.
The Board also advises the text-books to be followed in schools affiliated with it. The GSEB conducts two main exams every year, which are the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam for class 10th and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) for class 12th.
