Jammu and Kashmir: 666 infected, nine killed in the state including SSP, senior CAS

666 new cases of Corona have been reported in the state including SSP of Rajouri and senior CA officer. Of these, 126 cases were registered in Jammu division and 540 in Kashmir. At the same time, 2 deaths were in Jammu and seven in Kashmir. 434 patients have also become healthy. The patients who are healthy include 109 patients from Jammu division and 325 in Kashmir division.

Rajouri's ADC Thakur Sher Singh said that a CAS officer including SSP Chandan Kohli and 12 others have been found to be corona positive. The das officers residing in Rajouri are appointed in Jammu. SSP has appealed to all those who were in constant touch for a few days after getting corona positive. The weekend lockdown in Jammu district has also not slowed down the pace of cases.

On Sunday, 60 cases were reported in Jammu district. There are 12 cases registered in Kathua, seven in Udhampur, two in Ramban, 15 in Samba, two in Doda, nine in Poonch, seven in Reasi. 258 cases have been reported in Srinagar district of Kashmir division, 34 in Baramulla, 37 in Pulwama, 40 in Budgam, 47 in Anantnag, 27 in Kulgam, three in Shopian, 34 in Kupwara, 27 in Bandipora and 33 in Ganderbal.

With new cases, the total number of infections in the state has increased to 32647. However, 24832 patients have become healthy and the number of active cases is 7198. There are 1471 active cases in Jammu division and 5727 in Kashmir division. The death toll from Corona has reached 617. In Jammu and Kashmir, 868594 tests have been conducted so far.
